Favorite Part of Being an Athletic TrainerMy favorite part of being an athletic trainer is getting to know my athletes and watching them develop throughout their time as an athlete. BiographyI have worked as an athletic trainer for 18 years as the head athletic trainer and program instructor at Ellsworth Community College. I am married to Nate (ECC AD/SB Coach) and we have a beautiful miracle son, Aiden who is 5. Although I love my profession, he is by far my best accomplishment. We all live in Iowa Falls with our dog Birch and love our community and friends. AT Degree
Favorite Part of Being an Athletic TrainerThe best part of being an ATC is making a difference in student athletes' lives. Over the years I have found to be much more than an athletic trainer; I have been a counselor, fill in mom, instructor, mentor, friend, and that person they can always count on. It is about returning them to competition, but it is also about making a difference and showing up for them. The relationships that I have made over the years are by far my favorite part of my job. I have deep appreciation of McFarland and Athletico for the constant support and guidance over the years. The teamwork that we have had over the years is exceptional, including PT, Ortho, and Management. They truly care about each one of us. |
